Life with Camera

(on the way back from Gullfoss, Rut and i spotted 3 pregnant horses lying in a field.. fast asleep, the jolly one to the far right with her tongue lolling out and looking more than a little comical.. I braked violently and backed the car up, envisioning myself silently climbing over the fence and sneaking up to them, getting some much needed sleeping-horse-with-tongue-sticking-out pics into my horse photo collection, but while i was trying to decide wether to switch lenses, they all woke up and came strolling over.. (Rut did manage to snap at least one before they woke up tho)
Still sleepy, the white one yawned constantly, making for quite a series..

my beautiful friend Rut, aka r.ing, proves that visiting Gullfoss is serious business.

the sweater she's wearing was made for her by me, btw. Check out my newly created "prjónadót" set for more knitted stuff.. i'm clearly going to have to photograph more of it, there's at least 4 of these sweaters knocking around that haven't been documented. I knit a lot, you see..

as i mentioned (in icelandic) under the last photo uploaded, im currently "collecting models" here in iceland for an as-of-yet not-quite-organized portrait project, i've gotten a great response so far, i can still add several more to my list. This is something i'll be starting on about 2 weeks from now, and hopefully continuing with in the next several months, and will hopefully yield some interesting material:)
so again , if you're interested in modelling in return for photos, send a mail to rbekka@gmail.com and i'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Having had a passion for dubstep for nearly 2 years, getting a chance to hang out with these guys pretty much made my month:)

good question..
i've been digging thru all my old stuff the past days, in order to put together a presentation that i'll be giving tomorrow in Copenhagen. (at 6 pm, Tuborg Boulevard 12, be there or be square.. I know at least that muskva will be there! yay! ) and this one struck me as kinda cute.
My first trip to denmark, my first public presentation, i suppose its normal for me to be a little apprehensive. im also very excited however.
while going thru all the material i've accumulated in the last 2 and a half years, since i started using flickr, i realized what a LONG way i've come since the beginning.. its rather mind boggling, actually (have you people LOOKED at my early stuff?? haha...wow... some of it is just awful.. )

anyway, just throwing this up to say "hi" , and let y'all know that even tho i've been a bit out of it, i kinda miss flickr , and i'll be having more time to get back into taking pictures (i've hardly touched my camera in over a month), as i've decided to take a break from school and graduate a year later than i originally planned. I miss having time to be creative.
and for those who didnt know and have ever wondered if i was ever going to start selling prints, its all here, man
well.. actually its not, there's only 14 pictures there so far, but im working on it..
